COMPLEXITY This project scope included the mechanical, temperature and electrical corrections to AHU-5 Air Handler. The corrections shall include removal and replacement of ductwork transition section on the supply side of AHU-5, removal of heat recovery system, installation of volume control dampers, air flow measuring stations, cooling & pre-heat coils, filters, DDC sensors/transmitters on air handler & in the Surgical Suites, and a revision of air handler sequence of operation.

This project was a three shift – 24 hour a day project with a peak of 25 tradespeople. The project was constructed under a compressed timeline while the OR doctors were on 4th of July leave.

This new facility allows better supervision of inmates, provides more safety for staff and offenders, and emphasizes movement of high-security offenders to lower custody levels.
